From the beginning, God has been at work in Bible Study Fellowship. While its first classes were held in Southern California, BSF roots were in the mission fields of China, where BSF founder A. Wetherell Johnson served.

Billy Graham's 1958 crusade was the impetus for the fledgling organization to move to the San Francisco Bay area. It remained in Oakland until 1981, when BSF received a land gift in San Antonio, Texas, where its current headquarters are housed.

Over the course of 50 years, BSF has grown from
a single Bible study to nearly 1,000 classes with
approximately 200,000 class members worldwide.

God is still at work in BSF.
