BSF Distinctives
Getting Started

When people are first invited to a Bible Study Fellowship class, there is some hesitancy. After all, seven years is a long time.

While a seven-year Bible study may seem intimidating to a newcomer, a first step is all that's required.

BSF operates on an ongoing seven-year study cycle. However, you can check out a single BSF class anywhere along the way. Many BSF locations offer special visitors' sessions that you can attend without having to commit to anything. (Please note: visitors' classes are offered only at classes that have room to add new members during the course of the study year.)

Your visitor's experience will be similar to attending a regular BSF class. You will interact with other group members and experience the BSF teaching time. One difference, however, is that during the discussion group time, you and other visitors will attend an overview about BSF classes.

After you've had your first experience with BSF, we believe you'll be excited and challenged by the thought of joining the current study. Your commitment will be for the current study. When the class ends, you (and every other class member) will have the choice to continue on when the next study begins.

Please Note: During the special visitors' session there is no provision for childcare. Other arrangements must be made for children on this day. You will have an opportunity to register your children when you join the BSF class you are visiting.
