As 2011 slowly closes its pages and both happy and sad times become memories, we are grateful that our loving God is unfolding His eternal purposes and holding us steady in the process. We saw Him open up a new country to BSF—Liberia. We saw Him open up a new prayer group in a city with six existing BSF classes! We saw Him open our eyes to three more countries where He has placed people eager for BSF to begin—Sierra Leone, Togo, and Egypt! We saw Him keep our families in the palm of His hand despite parents' declining health, a grandson being deployed, and stresses which the enemy would use for evil. We saw Him keep our people in Jos and Abuja safe, as Boko Haram, an emerging terrorist group in northern Nigeria, steps up their attacks on all things Christian or Western. We saw Him stay close as we grieved over the sudden death of our beloved boss, Dr. Chuck. We saw Him bring our own Melinda Burnette to join the training division at BSF HQs. And although, at present, we do not see everything subject to Him, we see Jesus! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! That is why we can wish you a Happy New Year—because He is already there waiting for us.
