Melinda's home in the US is Spruce Pine, NC. She is a Physical Therapist. She began in BSF in 1990 in VA and served with BSF in Jos, Nigeria, from 1995 to 2006. Melinda taught the evening women's class in Bangkok, Thailand from 2006 to 2011. Melinda joins the BSF Headquarters staff in San Antonio as of July 1, 2011.

The Lord never stops surprising me! When He called me to be a missionary, I had to wait many years before I actually got to go to Nigeria in 1995. I thought that call was for a lifetime. I thought I would die overseas with a head full of white hair and so old I had lost my hearing and most of my sense too!

However, after sixteen years serving as a missionary, the Lord has given me a new direction. I have been asked to relocate to Texas, USA, to work at BSF Headquarters in the training division. God has confirmed to me that this is His call. I have had a million different emotions as I prepare for this new work--sometimes all in one day! 

Soon Tilee (my dog) and I will board a plane to travel to the US. I will spend the next few weeks preparing for the move to San Antonio and settling there before starting the new job on July 1. I appreciate your prayers in this transition time.
