Volunteering at BSF
Food Service

During scheduled training sessions, field personnel and trainees enjoy delicious meals in the auditorium dining room. Volunteers can help with food preparation on the Thursdays and Fridays prior to training sessions. Tasks might include baking cookies, cutting fruits and vegetables, cooking sauces, and a variety of other duties. When the event starts, volunteers work together to serve meals to the trainees. Tasks include last-minute preparation of ingredients, plating food, beverage service in the dining room, and cleanup after the meal. Volunteers are trained and supervised by the staff food service director when they work in the kitchen.
