Director of Innovation

Bible Study Fellowship is seeking a director of innovation to lead a newly created division to develop new models of BSF classes to attract and retain younger participants to the study of God's Word. The director of innovation will utilize research provided to develop the structure and implementation of these new models within targeted geographical and demographical areas. A key part of this role is to understand new technologies and social media. It's essential to have up-to-date knowledge to build models that connect with individuals who utilize this technology on a daily basis.

Excellent problem solving, critical-thinking and communication skills are necessary to work in unity with those who will be a part of this team, or will assist this team in its work.

The successful candidate must be an innovative and creative thinker; have excellent judgment and high capacity to make decisions; be mindful of details but oriented toward the big picture; have superb time management; have flexibility and good humor; be able to juggle multiple, simultaneous projects; be clear, frank and kind in verbal and written communication. In addition, this position requires initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset. A deep desire to glorify God and mature His people undergirds the work of the director of innovation.

-- Bachelor's Degree in Business,  MBA preferred

-- Minimum 5-10 years leadership or management experience creating or managing innovation solutions.

-- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

-- Effective presentation skills

-- Excellent written and verbal communication

-- Previous BSF leadership experience or other ministry leadership experience preferred.

Research Analyst

BSF is looking for a research analyst with strong quantitative and qualitative research skills. This individual will be responsible for program evaluation, reporting functions and ad hoc analysis to support and inform the organization's mission and vision. This candidate should also possess good communication (written and verbal) and critical-thinking skills. Required skills, qualifications and experience include:

-- A minimum of a master's degree in mathematics, statistics, research and analysis or any similar field

-- At least 5 years of research experience, including basic research design, large database analysis, statistical analysis and SPSS programming skills

-- Professional writing and reporting skills; Microsoft Office skills; experience in data visualization software; good time management; verbal communication skills, including presentation experience

Administrative Assistant (2) – Class Operations

The position of administrative assistant – Class Ops will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties supporting multiple directors in Class Operations. This individual will spend an extensive amount of time communicating through email and interacting with other BSF Headquarters staff. Among their responsibilities, the administrative assistant will:

-- Master all manuals within Class Ops to cross-edit and update manuals electronically on a regularly scheduled basis

-- Provide editing support for other materials and publications, including but not limited to Children's Program materials

-- Create and edit correspondence, reports and presentations for Class Ops directors

-- Provide coordination and support of projects specific to directors supporting new and existing initiatives

-- Cross-train with other administrative assistants to gain efficiency and effectiveness within the pooled administrative support for Class Operations.   

Candidates must have:

-- Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

-- Extensive software skills, Internet research abilities and strong communication skills

-- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff

-- Ability to assimilate into and work well in an existing team of administrative assistants who pool resources and abilities to accomplish large tasks or projects within quick timeframes

Help Desk Technician

(This position is temporarily on hold.) The help desk technician provides tier I level support to the BSF Headquarters staff, field personnel (area personnel, class staff and class leaders) as well as BSF class members. This person is responsible for monitoring and responding to all support requests through the BSF's IT ticketing system (tickets, email and phone calls). The position of tier I support also will perform integration testing and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of software and systems developed or installed by the BSF IT Division. Education and experience required include:

-- Associate degree in information technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education or experience

-- Minimum of three or more years of current work experience in the information technology field, including responsibilities for supporting Windows systems and software in a corporate environment

-- Ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams

-- Experience using help desk systems

-- Experience in integration and user acceptance testing

-- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, websites and mobile applications

-- Understanding of network connectivity and VPN usage

-- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Lead System Administrator

(This position is temporarily on hold.) The lead system administrator performs duties to produce quality deliverables associated with IT systems administration. Specifically, this position is responsible for evaluating, planning, and configuring, implementing, controlling, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting secure computer environments. These responsibilities are generally associated with multiple-function tasks of medium to large/high size, scope and complexity. The position of lead system administrator is responsible for supervising the Operations Work Center in the performance of their work and working with complex client issues, setups, internal servers, securing servers as well as maintaining the overall satisfaction of BSF IT clients by ensuring issues are handled to the level of quality that is expected of BSF. Education and experience required are:

-- BS degree in information technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education or experience

-- 5 or more years working in the information technology field, including responsibilities for supporting Windows servers and network infrastructure in a corporate environment

-- Preferred Microsoft certified professional certification with server, desktop, applications and database

-- Experience with leading technical teams in the accomplishment of simple and highly complex tasks

-- Ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams

-- Experience configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and Voice over IP (VoIP) services

-- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and Mobile Device Management tools

-- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange Server and other email-related technology

-- Understanding of information security fundamentals

-- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

-- Full-lifecycle Windows administration experience (design, build, maintain, upgrade, migrate)

-- Understanding in how various software programs are configured as well as an understanding of web hosting control panels.
