GENERAL SUMMARY:

Hospitality support staff performs any combination of hospitality and housekeeping services and tasks including cleaning, organizing, stocking, managing of buildings and general supervision of other workers.  The support staff also is involved in campus event preparations and setup, providing services to internal and external guests.  Entry level position, will train the right candidate.

ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION:

Able to work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment; detail-oriented; quick decision-making and problem solving skills; team player; good communication

PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  •  Manage cleanliness of campus buildings, vehicles & outside areas
  • Maintain inventory & stock of campus
  • Complete laundry processes
  • Hospitality tasks
  • Perform minor maintenance & report issues

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office
  • Good verbal communication skills in English
  • Good physical health

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to lift 35 pounds
  • Able to spend hours standing/bending/stretching/reaching while accomplishing tasks
  • Walking all areas of campus
  • Able to work cooperatively with others or on own with minimal supervision
  • Occasional overtime/weekend work
