Training Team Lead
The Training Team Lead develops, leads, coaches, collaborates and supports all Training personnel. The training lead coordinates the development and leading of live and remote training teams. They coordinate the production, preparation and updating of multi-media training resources. The lead will have significant responsibility in collaborating and working with the Field Development Officer to carry out strategic initiatives and plans.
This individual must embrace the BSF mission, vision, core values, aims and strategic objectives. Ability to work with others and commitment to a team-based model is essential. Analytical skills, relational wisdom, spiritual discernment, and ability to prioritize assignments are important.
ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION:
Person must have a variety of BSF leadership experience and be able to design, direct and evaluate training plans, demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking skills, outstanding training and coaching skills, experience in budgeting and financial management and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Spiritual maturity, relational wisdom to build, develop and inspire teams, excellent judgment, problem-solving, crictical thinking and strong (written and verbal) communication skills, team development and management experience, and implementation of strategies in accordance with BSF vision and organizational goals.
Realtional skills – ability to listen with discernment and speak with clarity and sensitivity; Organizations skills – Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines; Training skills – understands various training methods and learning styles. Technological skills – required to develop and deliver training; Financial skills - to develop and track budgeting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Align field training and development with the mission and vision of BSF and under the direction of the Field Development Officier.
- Identify and assess the coaching and training needs of BSF AP, Class Staff and leaders through consultation with Field Development Officer and Regional Directors.
- Supervise the onsite and remote training and coaching staff.
- Development of individualized and group training sessions that address specific field needs.
- Evaluate training’s field impact to ensure training is upholding BSF’s mission and vision and being absorbed by the field.
- Manage the technology and tools required to develop and deliver training.
- Participate in HQ training events, AP meetings, Institutes, Summits and other events as needed.
- Stay informed of the latest training trends, development and best practices.
- Oversee the development of training materials, manuals, resources, tool kits and multimedia training.
- Analyze and manage Training budget details, in cooperation with the Finance Division
- Set Training staff annual performance goals and review progress quarterly
- Assist on BSF strategic initiatives projects as requested
- Special Projects, as assigned by the Director of Field Development, CCO or Executive Director

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Experience in developing, conducting and leading training. Supervisory experience, preferred. Administrative, Presentation, Reporting, Financial and Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Organization, Time Management, Verbal Communication, Training Mindset, Ability to meet deadlines. Experience providing skill and leadership training to diverse ages of people, experience preparing written and oral communication for remote audiences, some experience and/or training in giving/receiving feedback, intermediate to advanced computer literacy with proven proficiency in Google, webinar and/or video conferencing, Word, Excel, PPT and YouTube.
