Around the world
More than 1,000 classes. On six continents. In 39 nations.
When you are involved in a BSF class, you join class members around the world — adults and children — in an in-depth study of the Bible.
God speaks to you personally through His Word. In BSF, through your personal daily study of the Bible, combined with weekly group discussion, a live lecture and insightful notes, you discover the Bible's relevance to today's challenges.
Global roots and reach
Although Bible Study Fellowship began in the 1950s on the West Coast of the United States, its founder, A. Wetherell Johnson, was an English woman who was a missionary to China. Class members helped start BSF classes elsewhere as they moved from California to other parts of the country in the 1960s and the world in the '70s.
In Asia today, you can find BSF classes in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Australia and New Zealand host numerous classes.
African classes are in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
European nations with a BSF presence include England, France, Italy, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Switzerland.
In Central and South America, you will find classes in Belize, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.
The North American countries of the United States, Canada and Bermuda bring the total offering of BSF classes to more than 1,000.
Most classes in the world are started by national leaders.
"Thousands of people. Men, women and children studying the Bible together.
The same lesson. It's inspiring!"
-- North American class member
