Volunteer housing

BSF has limited on-campus housing for volunteers.

Obadiah, our volunteer housing facilities, consists of eight rooms with a two common areas. Each room is equipped with two twin beds, with two comfortable chairs, table with two chairs, chest of drawers, TV (antenna only), closet, double-sink vanity and a private room with toilet/tub/shower. All linens are provided for the room as well as a hair dryer. A centrally located, fully furnished kitchen is available for the use of all guests. A washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are also available in the laundry room for your personal use.

There is no charge for staying in Obadiah. However, if the Lord leads you to give a donation to BSF, you may make the donation online, mail to BSF Headquarters, give at your class location, or envelopes will be available through the volunteer coordinator on the day of your first volunteer service on campus.

Reservations are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any one group may reserve up to four units at one time. Units must be reserved on the basis of serving a minimum of two days and staying two nights (September through May) or a full week of serving Monday through Friday (June through August).

Expectations and policies

Obadiah is available for those who volunteer in the press each weekday (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) of your stay or help with food service in the campus dining room when BSF leaders and others come to Headquarters for training. The volunteer coordinator schedules food service volunteers in advance.

To maintain a clean and quiet community, pets and smoking are not permitted in the units.

Before departure, volunteers are responsible for cleaning their units.
