Gifts of Appreciated Securities
Benefits to donating appreciated securities to qualified charitable organizations such as BSF.
Donors receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities gifted (that you have held for more than one year), no matter what you originally paid for them. Additionally, the donor will pay no capital gains tax on the securities gifted. We encourage you to consult your tax advisor for application of these laws to your personal tax situation.

Below is the information you should provide to your brokerage firm to initiate an electronic transfer of shares:

If you would like to designate your gift to the International Fund, Translation/Multilingual Fund or Building Fund, please indicate so in your letter requested below.
Because we do not receive any donor information from our broker regarding the source of the gift, we request you send a separate letter or email with your name and contact information (for tax receipt purposes), as well as the exact number of shares and name of the company whose securities you have gifted to:
Bible Study Fellowship
Attn: Finance Division
19001 Huebner Rd
