Raising Up Leadership for His Church
We believe the local church is God’s primary instrument for transforming lives and expanding His kingdom. Since 1959, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) has equipped men, women, and children to study Scripture, grow in faith, and serve their churches with purpose.
Through our lay-led, interdenominational Bible teaching and training, BSF strengthens the Church by developing leaders who are passionate about Christ, grounded in His Word, and committed to His Church. Our members go on to serve as children and adult small-group leaders, teachers, ministry volunteers, and prayer partners. BSF’s vision is to magnify God and mature His people—for the good of the Church and the glory of Christ.
Ways BSF Can Support Your Church Ministry
Leadership Training
BSF trains and equips lay leaders so they are ready to serve faithfully in their churches. All BSF leaders are required to be actively serving in their churches.
Multigenerational Materials
BSF classes use age-specific content for adults, young adults, students, and children—so entire families can grow together.
Global Reach
With members in more than 200 countries, BSF connects your church members to a worldwide movement.
Free, In-Depth Bible Study
We equip your church members to study Scripture deeply and lead others. Both the BSF Study and WordGo are free to use.
Sound Doctrine
BSF is committed to theological clarity, unity, and faithfulness to Scripture. All BSF teaching and materials are rooted in our Statement of Faith, which reflects the core tenets of historic Christianity. While BSF does not engage in denominational distinctives, our curriculum is designed to support churches across a wide range of traditions by grounding members in essential biblical truths and encouraging spiritual growth that strengthens the doctrinal integrity of the global Church.
Training Seminars
BSF seminars help members understand their role in the Great Commission and provide practical tools for evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual growth. They equip men and women to serve in their churches and communities with confidence.

How does BSF complement the ministries provided by our church?
For over 65 years, BSF has sought to magnify God and mature His people through global, interdenominational, in-depth Bible studies, producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word, and His Church. To this day, our aim and prayer to support the Church remain the same. BSF exists to support, not replace, your ministry—by helping your people study the Bible deeply and by training lay leaders to serve in their church community.
Is there a cost for my members to participate in BSF?
BSF is a free ministry—there is no cost to participate. While giving to BSF is always optional, we encourage participants to prioritize giving and serving in their local churches.
How do I get my church members involved in BSF?
Church members can engage with BSF through two powerful Bible study options: the 30-week BSF Study and WordGo. Both options are free and designed to deepen biblical understanding and strengthen spiritual growth. You can also invite a BSF representative to share more with your congregation.
How will BSF equip my members to lead in our church?
BSF strengthens the Church by developing leaders who are passionate about Christ, rooted in Scripture, and committed to serving His Church. Through leadership training, multigenerational study materials, and ongoing equipping seminars, BSF prepares participants to lead with biblical wisdom and spiritual maturity—both within BSF and in their local church communities.
